Chemboys Heptane is an excellent solvent for a variety of organic materials; it also dissolves a number of inorganic compounds. It is used as a solvent by the pesticide industry and in chemical laboratories.  Chemboys Heptane is used to extract edible oils from seeds or other plant parts. The oil extracted may be further processed to remove waxes and resins, which are left behind in the heptane. Heptane is also used as an extraction solvent for fats and oils from animal tissue or fish.

Chemboys Heptane is a clear, colorless, volatile liquid hydrocarbon with a gasoline-like odor. Heptane is mainly used as an extraction solvent for natural products and rubber. It is also used in the manufacture of lubricants, adhesives, paints, varnishes, rubber cement, and as a cleaning agent.
